Bookkeeping Assistant Northwest Interpretive Assoc. Seattle,WA Jul 1993 - May 1997 Primary responsibility was to maintain the physical inventory records at 70+ sales units. This task included the timely completion of quarterly inventory account reconciliations for all sales units. I assisted in the initial design of the electronic spreadsheets used to track physical inventories for all sales units and then performed the daily data entry required to calculate COGS. Additional duties included assisting the FC bookkeeper by journalizing monthly sales entries for all sales units, generating a monthly sales comparison report and performing monthly bank statement reconciliations. Lastly, I assisted the A/P specialist by matching receiving documents, vendor invoices and "open" purchase orders, then vouchering these matched documents into the A/P system. |
Inventory Team Supervisor/Sales Reporting Clerk Pay'n Save Drug Stores Inc. Seattle, WA Nov 1987 - Aug 1992 Supervised a 25-member physical inventory count team. This team was responsible for determining the inventory levels at 2 to 3 stores each week. My first task was to create the initial "operations" manual and then train all members of the newly created inventory count team. Daily operation of this team involved heavy use of mobile and hand-held computers which allowed us to quickly generate physical inventory status reports. It was my responsibility to guide the inventory team in such a way as to insure the accuracy of all generated reports. Store management analysis and subsequent approval of these inventory reports was required to successfully complete each physical inventory. In my role as Sales Reporting Clerk, I assisted in the design and implementation of a "flash" sales reporting system. It was my responsibility to collect sales and inventory data on a daily basis and then generate summary analysis reports which were distributed to senior management. |
